FOR ENERGY RETAILERS IN IRELAND

RoI, NI, all-island. One assurance platform.

Probari ships three Ireland configurations — RoI Energy, NI Energy, and an All-Ireland tenant that covers both jurisdictions and the Single Electricity Market (the all-island electricity market shared by Ireland and Northern Ireland) in a single product. Whichever side of the border you operate, every AI use case carries a live impact assessment, a control map across the relevant regulatory stack, and a signed sign-off chain.

FOR HEADS OF AI · CHIEF RISK OFFICERS · DPOs · COMPLIANCE

WHY IRELAND IS DIFFERENT

Two jurisdictions, one wholesale market, full EU exposure.

An energy retailer operating in Ireland sits inside an unusual regulatory stack. The CRU and Utility Regulator (UREGNI) each set retail conduct standards on their respective sides of the border. The SEM Committee oversees the all-island wholesale electricity market shared by Ireland and Northern Ireland. The EU AI Act, NIS2 and DORA apply directly to the Republic of Ireland and reach Northern Ireland through cross-border arrangements.

Most assurance products are built for a single regulator. Probari was designed for the all-island reality: one tenant can hold framework mappings for any combination of CRU, the Utility Regulator, the SEM Committee, EU AI Act, NIS2, DORA, UK GDPR and EU GDPR. The cross-border firms get one product; the single-jurisdiction firms get a cleaner product than anything that pretends Ireland is just GB minus.

THREE CONFIGURATIONS

Pick the tenant that matches your footprint.

Each Ireland tenant ships pre-configured with the right framework stack, AI Impact Assessment (AIIA) template and control library. There is no rebuild if your footprint changes — RoI tenants can extend to All-Ireland; NI tenants can extend to All-Ireland; the underlying data model is shared.

CONFIGURATION 01

RoI Energy

Republic of Ireland retailers

For energy retailers regulated by the Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU). EU-native frameworks apply directly: EU AI Act, GDPR, NIS2 and DORA where in scope. SEM coverage included for wholesale-market touchpoints.

  • CRU retail and conduct standards
  • EU AI Act, GDPR, NIS2, DORA
  • SEM Committee wholesale frameworks
  • ISO 42001 management system

CONFIGURATION 02

NI Energy

Northern Ireland retailers

For retailers regulated by the Utility Regulator (UREGNI). UK GDPR plus the EU AI Act where the system or its outputs reach EU citizens or markets. SEM Committee frameworks applied to wholesale-market activity.

  • Utility Regulator retail and conduct standards
  • UK GDPR + DPA 2018
  • EU AI Act extraterritorial application
  • SEM Committee wholesale frameworks

CONFIGURATION 03 · FLAGSHIP

All-Ireland Energy

Cross-border retailers and groups

For groups operating in both RoI and NI, or for SEM-facing wholesale operations. One tenant holds CRU, UR and SEM frameworks together with EU AI Act, GDPR (UK and EU), NIS2 and DORA. Use cases are tagged by jurisdiction; controls roll up across the group; the evidence pack is exportable per jurisdiction or all-island.

  • CRU + Utility Regulator + SEM Committee in one tenant
  • EU AI Act + UK GDPR + EU GDPR + NIS2 + DORA
  • Per-jurisdiction tagging and rollup reporting
  • Evidence pack export by jurisdiction or all-island

WHERE AI IS LANDING

The same six use cases. A different regulatory stack.

01

CHURN PREDICTION

Touches CRU and UR retail conduct, EU AI Act risk classification, GDPR special-category sensitivities.

02

DEBT & ARREARS

High vulnerability sensitivity. CRU and UR consumer-protection codes apply directly; EU AI Act high-risk applies in many configurations.

03

DYNAMIC TARIFFS

Smart-meter data lawful basis, fair-pricing principles, transparency obligations under retail conduct codes.

04

DEMAND FORECASTING

SEM Committee wholesale frameworks, EirGrid / SONI operational interfaces, NIS2 operational resilience.

05

VULNERABILITY DETECTION

Highest regulator-attention category. CRU and UR vulnerability codes plus EU AI Act high-risk treatment.

06

CHATBOTS & AGENTS

EU AI Act transparency obligations on conversational systems, GDPR processing, vendor-model passthrough.

WHO IT IS FOR

Three buyers. One product.

FOR HEADS OF AI

Ship faster, prove it.

Probari builds the assurance evidence as you build the system. Deployments stop stalling at governance review.

FOR CHIEF RISK OFFICERS

Evidence on demand.

Every use case carries a live AI Impact Assessment (AIIA), a control map and a signed sign-off chain. Auditable in minutes; defensible in front of CRU, the Utility Regulator, the DPC, the ICO or the board.

FOR DATA PROTECTION OFFICERS

UK and EU GDPR, joined up.

All-Ireland tenants carry both UK GDPR and EU GDPR mappings on the same use case where needed. ROPA-relevant fields are captured once and feed both regimes.

THE PILOT

Six weeks. Two use cases. A live evidence pack.

WEEK 01

Tenant stand-up

RoI, NI or All-Ireland tenant configured for your firm. Admin, viewer and DPO accounts provisioned. Reference use case loaded as a working template.

WEEKS 02–04

Two live use cases

Two real AI use cases — one customer-facing, one operational — taken through intake, AIIA and control mapping with your team.

WEEK 05

Cross-border configuration

For All-Ireland tenants: per-jurisdiction tagging, rollup reporting and EU/UK GDPR dual-mapping configured. For single-jurisdiction tenants: signals feed wired up.

WEEK 06

Evidence pack & board read-out

Exportable evidence bundle covering both use cases across the relevant framework stack. Board-ready summary walked through with the CRO and DPO.

Pilot pricing is available on application. The pilot tenant is yours to keep — there is no rebuild between pilot and production, and no rebuild if your footprint changes from single-jurisdiction to all-island.
